As you get older, the need to have a tax-efficient Will in place, and possibly a Lasting Power of Attorney, is more important. Concerns over care costs, protecting your assets and being unable to manage your own affairs are often what prompt an older client to seek advice.

Extra care and attention is required to make sure that the older client is fit to proceed with the document they wish to have prepared and that they are not being influenced by someone else seeking to gain from them financially. If they are no longer able to manage their affairs already and someone needs to be appointed to do this for them, we can help with an application to the Court of Protection.

We are experienced in dealing with elderly clients and their particular needs whether it means seeing them at home, in hospital or in residential accommodation.
